TransCare Now

Connecting trans, nonbinary, and gender-diverse people to safe, affirming healthcare.

TransCare Now is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the trans community with access to safe and affirming healthcare.
We believe accessible healthcare is a human right, and we are determined to help the trans community in accessing providers that truly care and have their best interests in mind.

About Us

It’s difficult to navigate a healthcare system that is seemingly increasingly hostile to trans and gender-diverse needs. TransCare Now was founded precisely with the goal to bridge that gap by connecting the community with trans-friendly medical providers and support networks, vetted and verified by other trans people on the quality and inclusiveness of their care.

Find Care

The TransCare Now provider directory will highlight healthcare specialists and clinics that actively offer gender-affirming care and/or are inclusive of trans people, each listing vetted to be safe and reviewed by community input, and sorted by service/specialty, location, and accepted insurance. Ideally, as the project grows, healthcare providers will also be able to sign up themselves to be vetted and listed as trans-friendly with us, creating a self-sustaining network of safe and supportive providers. Resources

In the resources section, you will find information on gender-affirming care and useful links in accessing it, along with guides on navigating insurance, articles with key information about trans health, and reviewed mental health resources you can trust—all written/gathered specifically with the trans community in mind.

Community

Beyond just the provider directory, we want to provide stable support networks and safe spaces for trans people to connect with one another. In the official TransCare Now Discord server, we do just that: it’s a space meant to foster community for trans people, moderated for safety, with channels for individual resources and events like movie and game nights, enabling trans and genderqueer people to find new friends and social support in a safe environment. We also intend to launch a forum space and other social features on the website itself to keep the community updated on new resources and encourage open discussions about trans health. (Coming soon. Get Involved

We need all hands on deck to make TransCare Now the best it can be at providing our community with resources. You can help this vision become reality by contributing provider recommendations for our directory, volunteering your skills (especially in management, developing, and/or designing—we need you!), by donating to help keep the project going, or even simply by sharing this website. Any contribution is not only deeply appreciated, but will go directly towards helping the community with easier access to trans-friendly care.
